Wonder Woman is back. The highly-anticipated ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ will be released on June 5, 2020. This time around, Wonder Woman is taking on the 1980s and it’s a whole new world. She’ll be facing her foe unlike anything she’s ever seen before: The Cheetah. Gal Gadot is back as the one and only Wonder Woman, as well as Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. ‘Bridesmaids’ star Kristen Wiig has joined the cast as supervillain Cheetah and ‘The Mandalorian’ star Pedro Pascal is playing an all-new character named Max Lord. Director Patty Jenkins, who directed ‘Wonder Woman,’ has returned as the director of ‘Wonder Woman 1984.’ Production started in June 2018 and filmed in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, and in the UK, Spain, and the Canary Islands.
