MSNBC'S Nicolle Wallace has welcomed a new host to her show as she breaks for maternity leave at 51.

Canadian journalist Ali Velshi announced he would be taking over some duties at Deadline: White House and shared an adorable photo of Wallace's daughter Isabella.

Last week, Wallace phoned into her program on MSNBC to explain her weeks-long disappearance.

The journalist said she and her husband Michael Schmidt, 40, had a baby and were able to hide the news as she was never pregnant.

"I have not looked at my phone in a week," Wallace said of her time away from the program.

"Mike and Liam and I are all smitten with her," she said, referencing her other child, an 11-year-old boy she shares with her ex-husband.

It's unclear if she adopted the baby or had her through surrogacy.
