On Lifetime’s Dance Moms Season 4 Episode 29, viewers got to see Abby’s Annual Dance Concert, which is always a major deal, and also the run-up to Nationals.

The theme of the concert is an emotional tribute to her mother, and with Nationals a few days away, Abby’s giving the girls 45 seconds to prove their mettle.

Should they get a solo at Nationals? That’s up to them to show her.

As Dance Moms Season 4 Episode 29 gets going, everyone seems pretty happy, even Jill, whose daughter Kendall placed second to Nia last week.

We’ll see how long that serene, team-oriented feeling lasts.

DANCE MOMS SPOILER ALERT: Not long whatsoever!

It’s recital time for the studio, after all, and that means multiple dance numbers and pep talks from Abby Lee Miller about how crucial this week is.

As Abby starts the pyramid, Chloe is on the bottom due to her injury, which Christi sees as unfair, but will become more of a factor than ever later.

Chloe is joined by MacKenzie, while Kendall is on second row with Maddie. At the top is Nia, coming off her first place award. Kamryn is also in the mix.

The group routine is “The Heist,” but the big takeaway is that during the showcase, each dancer will have 45 seconds to showcase their best work.

Abby is going to judge each of them as they perform.

Maddie has a solo for Nationals, while Kendall is being groomed, or at least considered, as someone who may take Maddie’s place in the future.

With only two National solos, Abby has raised the stakes and she pushes all of them harder than ever as Holly worries about the toll this is taking.

After rehearsal, the girls find some stress relief as they get to send Abby plunging into a dunking booth. Soon enough, though, it’s back to crisis mode.

Chloe limps out of rehearsal, which makes Christi nervous; Chloe then returns with boot on her foot, ready to dance despite having suffered a break.

Abby isn’t buying the idea that Chloe can somehow compete at Nationals, while Sarah is brought in but isn’t allowed to dance, setting her mom off.

As a result, Abby tosses Sarah off the dance, and as Sarah cries about it, Christy gives her a “pep talk” that basically bashes the crap out of Abby.

Good times all around when you watch Dance Moms online.

When it’s time for “The Heist” Chloe cries from the sidelines, while Abby gives her “pep talk,” which we put in quotes because it’s more of an attack.

With their 45 seconds, Nia and Kendall perform well well, but MacKenzie and Kamryn have some issues … and Maddie and MacKenzie get into a fight!

Abby doesn’t want any pressure from the Dance Moms at the party as she looks to make her decisions regarding Nationals and the girls’ future.

We wouldn’t hold our breath in that regard.
