CORONATION Street bosses have cast Northern Irish actress Kerri Quinn as gang leader Tyler’s mum Vicky Jefferies.
As the drama between Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) and Tyler (Will Barnett) continues, Kerri will be brought in to hash things out with Simon’s dad Peter.
It seems the actress has already started filming as she revealed her temporary move on Twitter, telling fans: “So off to Manchester in the morning for a few months. Excited yet bricking it. Let me know if you're around for a bev.”
She also shared a picture of the city at night and wrote: “Manchester.....ive fallen in love.”
The 35-year-old single mum from Belfast is well known for her theatre work but recently starred opposite Christopher Eccleston in BBC One show Come Home.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Kerri had previously auditioned for another role in Corrie after bosses loved her in the Belfast based drama, but she wasn't cast.
She was later offered the role of Vicky and is currently due to appear in ten episodes - keeping her Belfast accent.
In recent weeks Corrie fans have watched as ring leader Tyler and Simon have fallen out.
Simon went to the police and told them that it was Tyler’s idea to mug and assault elderly lady Flora (Eileen Davies).
Tyler, decided to hit up the OAP when they discovered she’d landed a £250k windfall from her dead son Vinny Ashford who was murdered by Pat Phelan.
Their plans went awry when Flora returned unexpectedly home and Tyler knocked her unconscious with a jewellery box.

While Tyler fled the scene, Simon stayed to make sure the old lady was okay, but landed himself in it with the police while doing so.
Simon then tried to make amends for his other misdemeanours, offering to wash up in the café for free to make up for tricking Alex and stealing from the till.
He later fled with his grandad Ken (William Roache) but will be returning to face the music with Tyler, who will be joined by his mum.
