On Dec 3, Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds announced on social media that they have ended their engagement.

"To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love...We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we've shared together," the pair wrote in a joint statement on her Instagram page.

"Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!" she concluded, adding praying hands and a red heart emoji.

The rapper filed for divorce from The Real host on Sept. 14 in Atlanta, Georgia, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. The couple were married for two-and-a-half years and had a prenuptial agreement in place.

Jeezy's filing said the former couple are "currently living in a bona fide state of separation," and that their marriage is "irretrievably broken" with "no hope for reconciliation."

The document also said that the rapper wants to share joint legal custody of the pair's daughter.

In the filing, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star described her marriage as "irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation." Zolciak-Biermann is seeking primary physical custody of their children and joint legal custody; she has also asked for spousal support and the restoration of her maiden name.

"This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting," Marcille told PEOPLE exclusively. "Our children remain our biggest priority and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

The pair married on Oct. 7, 2018, and "are currently living in a bona fide state of separation," Marcille's attorneys wrote in the filing.

Less than a year after getting engaged, Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have decided to end their relationship, PEOPLE confirmed Feb. 21.

"Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple," an insider told PEOPLE.

The pop-rock musicians met in January 2021 and released a collaborative single titled "Flames" the same month. They were first romantically linked the following month and got engaged in April 2022.

Ahead of their split announcement, TMZ published photos of the "Girlfriend" singer-songwriter hugging rapper Tyga after having a meal at Nobu restaurant together. The images sparked dating rumors between the two musicians, but a source told PEOPLE: "Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split."
