ASDA has been slammed after staff accused two carers of spreading coronavirus after they visited their local store in uniform for a sandwich.
Mary Gibson and Lisa Willott went to the Stoke-on-Trent store after finishing a gruelling 14-hour shift and were mortified to be told they were "spreading disease".

The colleagues said they visited the Wolstanton store for a "quick sandwich" when an Asda employee told them: "You two shouldn't be in here with them uniforms on, you're spreading disease."
Mary, 27, from Burslem, told StokeOnTrentLive: "We told the employee that we wear full personal protective equipment and had done a 14-hour shift before coming in for a sandwich.
"I went to the main desk and demanded that the manager came down. I just went mad.
"We felt so alone and ashamed. I was disgusted."
Lisa, 41, from Tunstall, said: "We felt belittled and were made to feel awful. Especially with what we're going through, we're putting our lives at risk."
She added: "Now it feels like everyone is looking at us with our uniforms on - but they're not. We were just made to feel like that."

Asda stressed earlier today that customers are allowed to wear their work uniforms inside its stores.
A spokesman told Sun Online: “We are really proud and grateful for the fantastic work of carers and NHS staff across the country, which is why we are giving them priority access to our stores at set times during each week so they can get the essentials they need.
"Our colleagues are also working incredibly hard at the moment to do a good job for customers in these unprecedented times.
"We would like to apologise again for the misunderstanding at our Wolstanton store at the start of April and can reassure all of our front-line customers that they are allowed to wear their uniforms in our stores.
"We are happy that we have resolved this with Ms Gibson and Ms Willott.”
